1. The form of conveyor belt damage
The length of the conveyor belt is large, especially in the downhole, and the working conditions are poor, and it is easy to cause damage. The main forms of conveyor belt damage are:
(1) The lap height of the tailstock of the transshipment machine and the belt conveyor is not enough, or the cushion roller of the tailstock loses its elasticity. When the bulk material falls from the transputer, a large impact force is formed and the upper cover of the conveyor belt is broken. Layers, even broken cores, form holes. Especially when the material is entrained with sharp objects, such as steel bars, it is easy to scratch the conveyor belt, causing longitudinal tearing of the conveyor belt.
(2) Wear with edges. Mainly due to deviation of the conveyor belt, causing friction between the conveyor belt and the chassis, resulting in cracking of the belt edge. The belt edge is most easily damaged because it is small and does not wear. After the belt is worn out, the water is immersed in the damaged area. After a long time, the canvas layer will gradually rot, and the steel cord will corrode and fracture.
(3) The conveyor belt does not meet the requirements. If the joints are uneven and uneven, the conveyor belt will be unevenly distributed and broken.
(4) The conveyor belt is of poor quality or improper use. For example, the conveyor belt used on the ground is exposed to sunlight in the hot sun for a long time in summer, and the ice on the surface of the conveyor belt in winter causes the rubber in the conveyor belt to harden and age prematurely. In addition, due to the excessive tension of the conveyor belt or the short distance of the conveyor belt during use, the number of flexing exceeds the limit value, and it is also easy to cause premature aging and damage of the conveyor belt.
2. Harm of conveyor belt damage
The various surface damages produced during the operation of the conveyor belt have many adverse effects on the safe operation of the conveyor belt. The following are the major hazards:
(1) The conveyor belt is thin, and it is not convenient to overlap the surface of the conveyor belt so that the thickness of the conveyor belt becomes thinner. When the two ends are overlapped, the thickness of the joint varies, and the position of the joint and the idler roll are stronger during operation. Scratching not only wears the idler, but also shortens the service life of the joint, especially the new belt is more prominent with the old belt. For belts connected by vulcanization, laps are more difficult due to the different thicknesses.
(2) Reduced conveyor belt strength Damage to the conveyor belt reaches a certain degree, especially after the cover layer is damaged. The depth and the core layer directly affect the tensile strength of the conveyor belt and reduce its strength. When the steel cord conveyor belt is damaged to the core layer, it may cause the steel cord core water to rust and lose its required strength. In the course of running, the conveyor belt with poor strength experiences sudden increase in load. For example, when the conveyor belt is loaded and the cassette is placed, the conveyor belt breaks easily.
(3) The life of the conveyor belt reduces the damage of the conveyor belt. Firstly, the cover layer is thinned or the core layer is exposed, so that the conveyor belt is damaged prematurely, the service life of the conveyor belt is reduced, and the transportation cost of the mine is increased. For conveyor belts with different degrees of wear on both sides of the centerline of the conveyor belt, the local tensile strength changes, which further reduces the service life of the conveyor belt.
(4) Conveyor belt deviation When the degree of damage along both sides of the centerline of the conveyor belt is not the same, often the two sides of the stretching rate change, it will directly lead to deviation in the conveyor belt during operation, in order to correct the deterioration of the wear.
3. Causes of conveyor belt damage
In order to identify the crux of the problem, after a long period of on-site analysis, it is believed that the cause of damage to the conveyor belt is roughly the following:
(1) Feeder unloading hopper is too straight, without buffering. Bulk coal or vermiculite directly on the conveyor belt, the impact force is particularly large and damage it.
(2) Conveyor drivers and patrolling workers have poor safety awareness and weak sense of responsibility. They find that the idler rolls are not flexible, have harsh or loud sounds, and cannot be replaced in time, which increases the running resistance of the idler rollers due to long-term idlers. In service, the idler rolls off in the middle and the conveyor belt is scratched.
(3) The idler frame is low and bears heavy force at the low enthalpy.
Obsolescence hangs down on the two idler stands, which bends the idler frame and damages the conveyor belt.
(4) The conveyor belt runs to the side of the rack due to improper joints or improper support of the roller frame during operation. It is scratched by the hanger lug or frame of the support roller, which may cause local wear or damage to the conveyor belt. Produce larger ditch, shorten the service life of the conveyor belt. Most of the edge scratches on the conveyor belt are caused by running deviation.
(5) The conveyor belt is pierced at the loading point due to large pieces of scrap steel or wood penetrated into the belt.
(6) No buffered coal bunker at the lap joint of the 2 belt conveyors. Large coal and ramming are directly placed on the conveyor belt to damage the conveyor belt.
(7) The lump coal and vermiculite are too large, and the roller frame is damaged or the idler roller is pulled down from the roller frame and the conveyor belt is scratched.
(8) Detonator pins and wires hanging on the rack tear the conveyor belt.
(9) The large piece of vermiculite or coal is caught in the guide groove of the hopper baffle or between the conveyor belt of the haulage section and the return section, and the conveyor belt is scratched.
(10) Vermiculite or metal objects stuck on the hopper and the baffle plate or damage the conveyor belt between the roller frame and the return section conveyor belt.
(11) The nose cleaner scrapes the metal or other debris on the belt surface and damages the belt.
(12) Tighten the car and lose it easily, causing the conveyor belt to tear.
(13) As the idler itself has poor processing quality or maintenance and maintenance management can not keep up, the sealing is not strict, the bearing is damaged, the bearing into the coal dust or water, refueling is not timely and other reasons greatly increase the rotation resistance of the roller, resulting in running In order to overcome the greater resistance, the idler rotation is inflexible. In this way, the rotating speed of the roller lags behind the speed of the conveyor belt, causing excessive wear and damage to the conveyor belt.
